  • Scan and Save for Later captures a high‑fidelity 3D foot scan for future use.

  • Draft Orders stores in‑progress requests you can edit or cancel before submission.

Selecting Order Type

  • Prefilled Rx – Start a pre‑configured prescription template. Prefilled Rx must be assigned and approved by BioStep.

  • Functional Orthotic – Order devices designed to control motion and improve biomechanics.

  • Accommodative Orthotic – Select softer, comfort‑focused devices for pressure relief.

  • AFO – Create an order for an ankle‑foot orthosis.

  • Non‑Custom Products – Choose from standard, ready‑made items


Managing orders is easy. Once an order is created and saved as a draft, it can be found in the draft orders section. Draft orders serve as a way to prevent errors, and to allow later modification when needed.

Managing Draft Orders


Each Draft Order has the following options: View, Edit, Duplicate, and Cancel.

Editing Orders


A Draft Order has the following Edit options:

  • Edit Patient Info: Allows changing the patient info later after an order is saved.

  • Change Order Category: Switch order categories from current category to Functional, Accommodative, etc.

  • Select Different Item: Go back and change the selected items(Orthotics, AFOs, etc.) in an order.

Edit Options


When viewing orders, you’ll be presented with different customization options that are available depending on the selected item(s). From here, each order can then be either submitted or saved as a draft.

Viewing Orders


Once an order is submitted, it will show up in the submitted orders section with a status indicator. If at this stage, an order needs to be modified, it can be revert to a draft only if it’s status is not In-Production.
